Sachin Tendulkar commends Indian men’s hockey team for their remarkable ACT title triumph

Mumbai: Sachin Tendulkar, the famous cricketer, praised the Indian men’s hockey team for winning the Asian Champions Trophy for the fourth time. India made a remarkable comeback after being down by two goals and won the game 4-3, making them the most successful team in the history of the competition.
Tendulkar took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to congratulate the Indian team and said, “Yet another shining moment for Indian hockey! Kudos to the Indian Men’s Hockey Team for their outstanding victory at the Asian Champions Trophy!”
In an intense final match held at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Egmore, Chennai, India defeated Malaysia 4-3 to claim the Hero Asian Champions Trophy Chennai 2023 title. With this win, India now holds the record for the most Asian Champions Trophy titles, surpassing three-time champions Pakistan.
Jugraj Singh (9′), Harmanpreet Singh (45′), Gurjant Singh (45′), and Akashdeep Singh (56′) scored the goals for India. Malaysia’s Abu Kamal Azrai (14′), Razie Rahim (18′), and Aminudin Muhamad (28′) also scored, but it wasn’t enough to win them the title.
