Rhea Chakraborty responds to allegations of “witch hunt” in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death probe
Rhea Chakraborty recently spoke about being targeted unfairly during the investigation into the death of her former boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput. Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020, and there was speculation surrounding the circumstances of his death. Chakraborty faced numerous allegations and even spent time in jail after being arrested by the NCB.
During the India Today Conclave, Chakraborty shared her experience and referred to it as a “witch hunt.” She explained that being called a witch was interesting to her because historically, witches were women who didn’t conform to societal norms or popular opinions. She also mentioned that mental health is not well understood in India, and despite progress being made, famous individuals with mental health issues are often not taken seriously.
