‘OMG 2’ Film Review: A Must-Watch Sequel
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar’s latest movie, ‘OMG 2’, is a sequel to the 2012 release ‘OMG – Oh My God!’ The film is written and directed by Amit Rai.
In ‘OMG 2’, the protagonist is Kanti Sharan Mudgal, played by Pankaj Tripathi. Mudgal runs a small shop near a temple and is a devout follower of Lord Shiva. He has a wife and two school-going children. Mudgal’s life takes a drastic turn when his son Vivek, played by Aarush Varma, is expelled from school after a video of him engaging in inappropriate behavior circulates.
The Mudgal family faces ridicule and hate from people due to the viral video. In order to protect his family from further embarrassment, Mudgal decides to move to a different city. During this difficult time, Vivek tries to commit suicide but is saved by Akshay Kumar’s character, who plays Lord Shiva’s messenger.
Vivek and his family feel immense shame due to his actions, which are considered unacceptable in Indian society. As Vivek’s father, Mudgal feels helpless and desperate to improve their situation. With the guidance of Lord Shiva’s messenger, Mudgal decides to take legal action against Vivek’s school and others involved in the incident.
Mudgal fights tirelessly in court, facing opposition from lawyer Kamini Maheshwari, played by Yami Gautam. Despite many twists and turns, Mudgal ultimately wins the highly publicized case.
‘OMG 2’ addresses the issue of human sexuality and the challenges faced by Indian teenagers due to the lack of sex education in schools. The film emphasizes the urgent need for sex education to be included in the Indian school curriculum.
