Karan Johar has explained why he decided to leave Twitter. In an interview with Mid-Day, he said that he made the choice after seeing people insulting his children. He felt that this was the lowest point and couldn’t tolerate the abuse towards his family. Johar’s mother was also targeted with abusive comments. This happened when his children were only five years old, which influenced his decision to quit Twitter. He has no plans to return to the platform.
When asked if the criticism about nepotism in Bollywood played a role in his departure from Twitter, Johar clarified that it had nothing to do with it. He stated that he still casts people from the industry and appreciates actors like Alia Bhatt. He made the decision solely because he couldn’t bear to read the abusive comments about his kids.
