Genelia Deshmukh to star alongside Aamir Khan in ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’
Genelia Deshmukh has been cast opposite Aamir Khan in his upcoming film “Sitaare Zameen Par.” This is the first time they will be seen together since their film “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa” released 16 years ago. Deshmukh will reportedly play Khan’s love interest in the movie.
According to a source cited in Filmfare, Aamir believes that Genelia is the perfect fit for the role of a strong independent woman. After discussions with the director, Aamir has chosen Genelia as the female lead. In the film, she will play Aamir’s love interest and will also join him in training a team of specially-abled individuals.
The source further added that this is a perfect casting choice considering the demands of the script and character arc. Both Aamir and Genelia are excited to work together again, especially since Aamir had produced their previous film “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa.”
